Colorado Mesa University is committed to making higher education affordable. We offer two different alternative tuition programs: 西部本科生交流 (WUE) and Mountains and Plains (M&P). These are available for freshmen and transfer students based on the student's permanent address and GPA.
西部本科生交流 (WUE) and Mountains and Plains (M&P)
Freshmen and transfer students (up to 105 credit hours) with a permanent address from 32 states in the western and mid-western United States and the District of Columbia and a minimum GPA of 2.5 for both WUE and M&P are automatically considered for reduced tuition rates upon completion of the admissions process. There is no separate application process to be considered for WUE or M&P status.
- High school student with 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA for WUE or M&P
- Transfer student (up to 105 credits) with 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA for WUE or M&P
To continue receiving the benefits of the M&P or WUE 学费 Program once awarded, students agree to:
Enroll in and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours each consecutive fall and spring semester; for summer eligibility students must enroll in and complete a minimum of 6 credit hours; students must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA for M&P and WUE; and students must keep their state driver’s license to prove their ties to their home state.
Students are granted the special tuition program because they are a permanent resident of their home WUE or M&P state. As such, time accrued while participating in the tuition program cannot be used to establish domiciliary intent (12 month physical presence) for purposes of claiming Colorado residency. Students wishing to pursue Colorado in-state status for tuition purposes must notify the 学费 Classification Officer in writing of their desire to decline their tuition program. They would then be charged out-of-state tuition during the 12-month domiciliary period prior to the semester for which they petition for in-state status. Please call 970.248.1514 for further detail.
