Mazda at the NY Auto Show
Wednesday, March 19 through Sunday, March 30, Mazda will have its Furai Concept and freshened RX8 on display at the New York Auto Show.
Embodying Mazdas vision of a future supercar, and built on an ALMS chassis, the 3-rotor Furai has sparked massive interest in auto enthusiasts due to its futuristic looks, and real-world drivability. Whereas most concepts are limited to the showfloor, the Furai was taken out for laps at Laguna Seca Raceway, prior to its unveiling earlier this year.
The RX-8 features exterior freshening, with a more aggressive look. Mazda will also have its full lineup, including the CX-9, on display as well.

I've been driving my fully loaded RX-8 (standard!) for about 8 months now and couldn't be happier. Although the thought of three rotors is tempting, I have a hard enough time controlling my urges to drive fast as it is. I just moved to the US after 17 years in Germany driving the autobahns (averaged about 35K miles/year) and I really like to drive fast and the RX-8 is a more than willing accomplice. On the highway I often find myself looking down at the speedometer and have found that I was doing 'go straight to jail' speeds and never even noticed that I was going that fast. The car is just as smooth and silent as can be. I love it!
